Once accepted, and with all your questions answered, we can begin the procedure. It starts with X-rays, photos and a complete set of accurate teeth impressions that are used to create a 3D image.
The dentist can use this information to evaluate the complexity of the procedure along with the gap between the current teeth position and the desired outcome. Depending on this, a different amount of trays will be prepared. Invisalign is a lengthy process, that can take up to a year or longer in which you will progress through various pre-planned stages of treatment.
At each stage, you will have a custom set of trays that has been carefully manufactured from a computer CAD 3D model. Each stage typically spans a two-week period and your teeth will gradually progress to the target result. The BPA-free plastic used is surprisingly smooth and comfortable, with just the right amount of rigidity to perform its function.
How long do I have to wear Invisalign?
In order for Invisalign to work, it must be worn at least 20-22 hours of a day. However, you can easily remove them for eating, brushing and flossing. You will need to be strict with your dental hygiene routine throughout the procedure and we will have your visit us every 6 weeks to ensure the process is going according to plan.
